The 2026 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit convenes in the historic water town of Wuzhen, Zhejiang, China from November 2 to November 5, 2026. Anchored by the official theme “Open Source and Openness, Collaborative Development and Shared Benefits — Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace”, the 2026 summit marks a historic inflection point as the global internet transitions from traditional information connectivity to the era of autonomous AI agents, open-source foundation models, and embodied intelligence.
Under the banner “Smart Interconnectivity, Envisioning the Future”, the 2026 Light of Internet Expo stages the first panoramic showcase of next-generation network and compute infrastructure. For the first time, the exhibition presents a concentrated display of 6G, satellite internet, quantum communications, and ultra-broadband breakthroughs. GSMA and Qualcomm debut an end-to-end 6G prototype system featuring live remote control of heavy engineering machinery, while China Telecom demonstrates its 6G space-air-ground integrated network combining high-orbit, medium-orbit, and terrestrial nodes.
On the compute front, next-generation AI Supernode cluster architectures take center stage, uniting flagship systems from four major infrastructure providers: Alibaba (Zhenwu M890 × Panjiu AL128 Supernode), Huawei (Ascend 950 Supernode), ZTE (Matrix Cluster Supernode), and Sugon. Simultaneously, the Wuzhen World Internet Science and Technology Museum hosts a dedicated Open Source Ecosystem Experience Pavilion highlighting open-source foundation models and National AI Application Pilot Base milestones.
Inside Hall B (Super Experience Pavilion), more than 30 embodied humanoid robots from robotics pioneers including Agibot (Zhiyuan), UBTECH, and Unitree form an active “Robot Squad”, operating in live industrial manufacturing, commercial retail, healthcare, eldercare, and domestic service scenarios. Alongside the robotics fleet, hardware innovators unveil the world's first native AI-agent smartphones (including the Nubia Navi X Ultra) and Alibaba Qwen AI ear-clip wearables.
To bridge frontier technology with everyday life, the 2026 summit launches the inaugural AI OPC Carnival and the Digital Intelligence Consumer Market, curating over 130 interactive smart products from more than 80 technology enterprises so attendees can test, experience, and purchase next-generation AI hardware on site.
Across the four-day agenda, the summit presents the prestigious WIC Leading Science and Technology Award, honoring global breakthroughs in foundation models, open-source software/hardware stacks, and cybersecurity. On the morning of November 4, the flagship Zhejiang Sub-Forum (“Developing New Quality Productive Forces: Strong Incremental Growth Driven by AI”) introduces two interactive segments—“Leading Releases” and “Future Scenarios”—conducting live simulations of space-based intelligent computing networks, brain-computer interfaces (BCI), and embodied robotics.
